In free-wheel mode, the drum rotates freely, allowing the cable to pay out as the attached worker descends or moves, while the handle remains stationary. This mode includes a built-in overspeed brake with energy-absorbing capacity, providing secondary fall protection and added security. A built-in overload clutch automatically slips to prevent severe overloading or damage, helping to avoid injury to entangled personnel during raising operations. The housing cover is made from durable medium-density polyethylene and features an ergonomic carrying handle. The housing includes anodized aluminum side plates, zinc-plated gears and shafts, stainless steel springs, and an aluminum drum for durability and corrosion resistance. A swiveling self-locking snap hook with an impact indicator ensures a secure connection to the load and prevents cable twisting.
